The Cleaver Company

At the forefront of the organic and sustainable food movement, The Cleaver Co. lives by the motto, “Inspired Ingredients = Exceptional Events"

The Foundry

Located on Long Island City, this former metal foundry is a turn-of-the-century shell of a building awaiting your personal touch. Brick walls, an inner courtyard and trailing ivy make this architectual gem our pick for indoor/outdoor weddings. Prices starting at $4500.

The Metropolitan Building

This converted warehouse in Queens offers 9,000 square feet of event space for up to 250 guests ($7000).  The option for antique props is what got our attention -- and what landed The Metropolitan Building on our Portovert-Pick list. The owner operates an antique dealership; vintage, salvaged and heirloom pieces can be added to your decor upon request. In-house caterer The Raging Skillet offers a number of vegetarian and vegan options.

The New York Botanical Garden

By holding your wedding at a botanical garden, you're supporting a living museum of plants and an educational center for horticulture and plant research. There are two rental venues at the NY Botanical Gardens; Abigail Kirsch is the center's official caterer.. We recommend Snuff Mill -- this 1840 tobacco factory provides an intimate space for up to 110 guests. Prices start at $120 per person (including alcohol).

The North Fork Table & Inn

The North Fork Table & Inn offers a progressive American menu committed to the highest standard of culinary excellence. The restaurant's menu focus is seasonally inspired featuring locally grown biodynamic and organic produce, the freshest seafood from the pristine Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound and award winning North Fork artesian cheese. Increasingly distinguished and awarded Long Island wines are highlighted on the wine list, as well as their national and international counterparts.
